Job summary

Resource Innovations seeks an Energy Advisor to lead commercial and industrial energy efficiency initiatives in the Chicagoland area. You will guide opportunities from assessment through implementation, combining technical insight, sales acumen, and strong business sense to optimize energy use and deliver measurable savings.

You will manage relationships with facility leaders, engineers, and decision-makers, develop action plans, and work across utility program offerings to maximize energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in energy efficiency consulting or related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial/commercial facilities and energy-saving tech.
• Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy programs.
• Ability to influence decisions through consultative selling and relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic energy management partner for customers and grow programs.
• Lead site assessments, data analysis, and energy opportunity identification.
• Develop and manage an Energy Management Action Plan per customer.
• Navigate stakeholders to drive project adoption and realization of savings.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high‑value solutions.
