Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Advisor to lead commercial/industrial energy efficiency initiatives in Northern Illinois. The role combines technical analysis, account management, and executive-level stakeholder engagement to move opportunities from assessment to implementation.

You will develop strategic energy plans, evaluate facilities, and map financial benefits while guiding customers through complex project lifecycles and program offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in energy efficiency consulting, technical sales, or related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial/commercial facilities and energy-saving technologies.
• Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.
• Ability to influence decisions through consultative selling and relationship management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% locally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as customers' strategic energy management partner and identify opportunities.
• Lead energy assessments, technical reviews, and analysis of documentation.
• Develop and maintain an Energy Management Action Plan for each customer.
• Support customers from opportunity identification through project completion.
• Collaborate with engineering specialists to develop solutions for complex systems.
• Maintain CRM data, opportunity pipelines, and project forecasts; drive execution.
