Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an Energy Storage Project Executive to lead multiple projects with profit accountability. The role collaborates with engineering, controls, finance, and field ops, overseeing schedules, budgets, and risk.

Remote or hybrid work with in-office presence in San Diego, CA will be discussed. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in utility infra project design/construction, strong contract and cost-control skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in design/construction of utility or infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Leadership to coordinate a remote team into a high-performing unit.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project level executive decisions on critical aspects of the work involving significant cost and risk impacts to the company.
• Provide leadership and oversight of complex change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and/or regulating entities.
• Provide support to other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for a variety of roles on project teams.
• Support the development of standards and processes to improve the business.
• Able to perform all Project Manager’s responsibilities: scheduling, cost control, procurement, client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Engineer, and Subcontractors; build strong partnership with Owner while ensuring prompt notification of impacts.
• Maintain timely reporting to management, particularly cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion.
• Oversee preparation of project billings; maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles; collect aged receivables.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owner for timely resolution.
• Coordinate regular project update meetings with client and internal stakeholders.
• Identify needs, develop scopes of work, and hire third parties to execute the work.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address supply-chain challenges.
• Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with all terms.
• Supervise documentation of significant project events (accidents, delays, Change Orders).
• Mitigate project risk with the team and senior management.
• Ensure jobsite office networking services are set up.
• Enforce SOLV standards and OSHA policies; promote company culture.
• Assist site management in promoting company values and professional representation.
