Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Project Executive to lead and oversee multiple solar, storage, and high voltage substation projects. You will coordinate with engineering, project controls, finance, and field operations to drive project delivery and profitability, while managing risk and change orders.

This role can be fully remote or hybrid with in-office presence in San Diego, CA, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design/construction of utility or commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience with electrical equipment installation is preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Strong leadership to manage remote teams and complex projects.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project level executive decisions on critical aspects of the work involving significant cost and risk impacts to the company.
• Provide leadership and oversight of complex change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and/or regulating entities.
• Support the development of standards and processes to improve the business.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for a variety of roles on project teams.
• Oversee preparation of project billings; maximize cash flow and manage aged receivables.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owner for timely resolution.
• Coordinate meetings with client and internal stakeholders on status and progress.
• Identify needs, develop scopes of work, and hire third parties to execute work.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply-chain challenges.
• Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with terms.
• Supervise documentation of significant project events.
• Manage project risk and mitigation plans with project team and senior management.
