Job summary

Franklin Energy in Illinois seeks a field-based Energy Advisor to serve homeowners, landlords and utility customers. You’ll combine field visits with office work, provide expert advice on energy efficiency, and coordinate with trade partners to drive savings and program success.

Responsibilities include direct installation, presenting to groups, outbound calls, data entry, and preparing written reports for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
• Technical school degree with demonstrated experience in electric/gas utility field will be considered.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered.
• 3-5 years in electric or natural gas utility industry or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Direct installation of energy saving products as directed by program management.
• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and program stakeholders.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets.
• Initiate new business with new customers through B2B efforts.
• Develop and deliver presentations to create awareness about the program.
• Assist Program Manager in the training of new team members.
