Job summary

Franklin Energy seeks a field-based energy advisor to work with homeowners, landlords, and utility customers. The role blends on-site visits with office work, promoting energy efficiency and coordinating rebates while meeting energy-saving targets.

You will collaborate with trade allies, prepare reports, and help customers navigate prescriptive and custom incentive measures. Requires strong communication and data skills, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; technical school considered.
• 3–5 years in electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC, or related fields.
• Experience leading staff and proactive customer outreach.
• 2–3 years in energy efficiency and/or energy modeling.
• Customer service, sales, or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote the energy efficiency program to customers, trade allies and stakeholders within territory.
• Make outbound calls to existing customers to meet energy saving targets and initiate new business.
• Coordinate on-site and follow-up visits with customers, trade allies and program stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver presentations to raise program awareness and assist with rebate applications.
• Enter data into spreadsheets and databases to track energy savings and manage projects.
