Job summary

Resource Innovations, a women-led energy transformation firm, seeks an Energy Advisor to lead commercial/industrial energy efficiency efforts in the Chicagoland area. You will manage opportunities from discovery to implementation, coupled with data analytics to drive savings and strategic account growth.

The role emphasizes relationship building with utility reps, facility engineers, and executives while navigating complex organizational structures to deliver measurable energy reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of energy efficiency consulting or related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial/commercial facilities and energy-saving technologies.
• Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.
• Proven ability to influence decisions through consultative selling and relationship management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% locally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic energy management partner for commercial and industrial clients.
• Lead opportunities from identification through implementation.
• Develop Energy Management Action Plans and maintain a living roadmap.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop solutions for complex systems.
• Maintain CRM activity, opportunity pipelines, and project forecasts.
