Job summary
BizTek People, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer II focused on system protection for transmission assets. You will specify protective relaying equipment, develop protection schemes, and lead relay coordination analyses for substation projects.
This role is remote (PST) with occasional meetings and travel as needed. The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited engineering degree, PE license, 8+ years in transmission protection, and deep knowledge of relay settings for 12.47 kV to 345 kV systems,
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
- PE license registration required.
- Minimum 8 years transmission system protection experience.
- Strong knowledge of relay coordination studies and protective relay settings.
- Experience with high-voltage systems up to 345 kV; 500 kV a plus.
- Familiar with NERC PRC standards and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Completes relay coordination analyses and determines settings for substations.
- Leads protection, control, and substation automation scheme development.
- Prepares protection documentation for executives and customers.
- Applies technical analyses to develop state-of-the-art protection solutions.
- Ensures quality and coordinates with construction and customers.
