Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to lead protection design, relay settings, and coordination studies for critical infrastructure. You will model faults, optimize protection schemes, and drive innovative solutions across transmission, distribution, generation, and renewables projects.

This role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, and 10+ years of relevant experience, with on-site or remote work flexibility and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree is required.
• PE license is required; master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in system modeling and fault analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses including short-circuit and symmetrical component studies.
• Design and optimize relay settings and coordination strategies.
• Develop protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewables projects.
• Create and execute test plans, assist with commissioning, and troubleshoot protection events.
• Ensure compliance with NERC PRC standards.
• Mentor and collaborate, providing technical guidance to engineers.
