Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical SME to shape power infrastructure for hyperscale data centers, from utility interconnection through IT equipment receptacle. You will lead design, governance, and mentorship across projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance.

You will engage with clients, lead technical discussions, and drive innovation in BESS, renewable integration, and AI-ready density while mentoring junior engineers and upholding Jacobs' standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required or equivalent.
• Active Electrical PE licensure in at least one state.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, 15+ in data centers or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients and MV/LV distribution.
• Direct full power chain: MV switchgear to UPS, gensets, transfer switches and busways.
• Provide technical governance: reviews of calculations, drawings, and submittals for code compliance.
