Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical SME to shape electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data centers, from utility interconnection through IT receptacles. The role blends deep power systems expertise with client-facing leadership, mentoring, and governance across projects.

You will work on MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, arc flash compliance, and energy efficiency, while advancing Jacobs' standards and technical libraries.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required; PE licensure is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution architecture and redundancy strategies.
• Drive full power chain from MV switchgear to UPS and generators; perform studies like short-circuit and load flow modeling.
• Provide governance for electrical deliverables; review calculations/drawings for code compliance; support IST/commissioning of critical power systems.
• Represent Jacobs in client workshops and industry forums; contribute to RFP responses and technical differentiation.
