Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data center programs. The role covers MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and arc-flash compliance, with client-facing leadership across multiple programs.

You will mentor teams, shape Jacobs' electrical standards, and engage with industry forums while working in a hybrid office/field environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree; master's preferred.
• PE license active in at least one U.S. state; reciprocal licensure via NCEES.
• 20+ years as electrical engineer; 15+ years in data center/mission-critical design.
• Proficiency with MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, transfer switching, and redundancy architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients, define MV/LV distribution and redundancy strategies.
• Oversee power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generators, and busways; perform power system studies and protection coordination.
• Govern electrical deliverables across teams and partners; support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
• Present at client workshops and industry forums; contribute to proposals and technical differentiation.
