Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Electrical SME to shape electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data centers. You’ll lead MV/LV distribution design, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and arc flash safety programs, while mentoring teams and ensuring code compliance.

Primarily office-based with 10–15% travel, the role blends technical authority with client-facing leadership and industry engagement through IEEE, AFCOM, and other forums.

Qualifications

• Active Electrical PE licensure in at least one U.S. state.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• 15+ years focused on mission-critical data center design.
• Proven expertise in MV/LV distribution design and UPS topology.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning with hyperscale clients and define distribution architecture.
• Drive full power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generators, transfer switching and PDUs.
• Review calculations, drawings and submittals for quality and code compliance; support IST.
• Present at client workshops and contribute to RFPs and industry forums.
