Job summary

RESA Power seeks a Sr. Service Field Technician to perform installation, testing, troubleshooting and service on LV Switchboards, Switchgear, MCCs and transformers. You will test breakers, inspect sites and generate final reports, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

You will manage small to large projects, communicate with clients and management, prepare estimates, and document results in our software. Travel and overtime are required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience and 5 years of related field experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and standards (NETA, OSHA, IEEE, NFPA).
• Strong background in low and medium voltage equipment up to 38 kV.
• Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, start-up on switchgear up to 38 kV.
• Experience with machinery: press brake, lathe, end mill, shear, CNC, welding.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, electrical testing, repairs and service on LV Switchboard, Switchgear, MCC, and transformers.
• Communicate with clients, peers, and management for effective problem resolution.
• Prepare project estimates, expand project scopes and assist in negotiating extra charges.
• Inspect sites, report problems to Sales and Project Management.
• Complete final test reports and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Complete service at Customer locations and maintain on-site reports.
