Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Service Field Tech to perform testing and maintenance on power transmission equipment at customer sites. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot and start-up HV systems, including switchgear and circuit breakers up to 230kV, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong field experience, the ability to work with customers, and on-site problem solving. This position includes on-call rotations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and 5 years of related field experience.
• Progression through Tech II to Tech IV levels with increasing responsibility and safety focus.
• Experience with HV equipment, testing, and troubleshooting per listed duties.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collection on HV systems up to 230kV.
• Test and maintain switchgear, breakers and related equipment (45 KVA to 130 MVA).
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on circuit breakers 480V to 15kV.
• Operate high voltage test equipment and assist in startups on power systems.
• Coordinate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Document on-site findings and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
