Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Sr. Field Tech to perform service, test and maintain diverse power transmission and distribution equipment across client sites. The role emphasizes high voltage testing, switchgear, transformers, and control systems within regulated safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with HV substations (69–345 kV), strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and peers on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of related field experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.
• Experience with high voltage equipment testing and maintenance (69 kV–345 kV).
• Ability to work safely under electrical safety procedures and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and data-collect for HV systems up to 765 kV.
• Switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
• Inspection, maintenance and testing of transformers (45 KVA to 1,120 MVA).
• Filling and working with SF6 filled GCBs and gas insulated switchgear.
• Commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of controls and transfer schemes.
• Note: All work and decisions shall be conducted in strict compliance of all regulatory laws.
• Other duties as assigned by project leader.
