Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Tech/Power Systems Technicians to perform service, testing, and maintenance on power transmission and distribution equipment across HV, MV, and LV systems. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data, then install and commission protective relaying equipment and switchgear.

The role requires safety-first work, on-call rotation, and adherence to NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED; 1+ year in a related field.
Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
Experience with MCCs, breakers, relay testing, oil testing, infrared scanning, and switchgear up to 500kV.
Must work safely and adhere to electrical safety procedures.
Good communication, problem solving, and dependability.

Responsibilities

Inspect, test, troubleshoot and data-collect on HV, MV, and LV electrical systems.
Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment and switchgear.
Develop and document standardized commissioning and testing procedures.
Perform functional testing of substation control circuits and relay logic.
Create relay macros and testing routines; validate protection configurations.
Rotate on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
