Job summary

RESA Power is seeking Field Techs for Power Systems at multiple levels (I–IV) to service, test and maintain power transmission equipment on-site. The role involves inspecting and testing high- and medium-voltage gear, transformers, breakers and switchgear, with on-call duties and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year in related work, knowledge of NETA/NEC/OSHA/NFPA, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 1+ year in a related field.
• Knowledge of NETA, NEC, OSHA and NFPA standards.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to electrical safety procedures.
• Experience with testing/servicing high voltage equipment up to 500 kV class (training counts).
• Good communication, problem solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collection of low/medium/high voltage systems.
• Test and inspect switchgear, breakers and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance, testing and repair on transformers and circuit breakers.
• Operate high voltage test equipment and perform start-up on switchgear up to 500 kV.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
