Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead field crews, manage complex substation testing and maintenance projects, and serve as the primary interface with clients and engineers across North America.

In this role you will apply advanced technical knowledge to testing, commissioning, and restoration of high, medium, and low voltage equipment, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with project managers to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals on diverse

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen for safety sensitive role.
• Successful criminal background check required.
• Willing to overtime and travel out of town as needed.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus including circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Perform and lead complex troubleshooting of electrical and control systems, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyze test results using electrical theory to validate system performance and identify deficiencies.
• Develop testing plans, procedures, and work scopes for electrical apparatus and commissioning activities.
• Lead execution of large-scale and complex projects, coordinating field activities to meet schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
• Mentor Field Technician I-III, providing technical leadership and skill development.
• Coordinate daily activities with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
