Rosendin Electric, Inc. is hiring a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead bid development for electrical construction projects.

You will prepare estimates from quantities, review plans, and coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to ensure competitive pricing and thorough documentation. The role requires a strong background in estimating, blueprint interpretation, and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group work.
• Mentor and assist with the development of Estimators.
• Identify and meet customers’ needs, expectations, and requirements.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
• Work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
• Oral and written communication skills are required.
• Self-motivated, proactive and a team player.

Responsabilités

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off on project and complete estimate to computer printout.
• Identify parts of project that may be key to making a competitive estimate.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub estimates for assigned bids.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on projected site conditions and historical data.
• Prepare detailed listing of material and equipment items for the estimate and to obtain quotes.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects.
• Provide detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing to Chief Estimator prior to bid package issuance.
• After bid, explain job scope and potential attention areas during turnover.
