Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid preparation and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will work with estimators, suppliers, and customers to produce thorough and competitive bids.

The role requires interpreting blueprints, modeling labor productivity, and developing sub estimates. A bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering and 4+ years estimating experience are preferred; CAD/3D software and Accubid/Bluebeam experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years estimating or relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD/3D software and estimating tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete the estimate to computer printout.
• Review proposals, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
• Evaluate areas for value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub estimates for bids.
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on site data.
• Prepare material/equipment listings and obtain quotes.
• Solicit quotes from qualified suppliers/subcontractors and review for conformance.
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bids and negotiated projects.
• Review scope with Chief Estimator before formal bid package.
• Explain job scope during project turnover to management teams.
