Job summary

Rosendin Electric is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid and estimate activities for electrical construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed estimates, reviewing specs and drawings, and coordinating with vendors and Project Management to ensure accurate pricing and timely bid submission.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering and at least 4 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Estimate all project types and coordinate group efforts.
• Mentor and assist with estimator development.
• Identify customer needs and ensure requirements are met.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Manage multiple tasks with priority and adapt to change.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs and develop detailed bid packages.
• Lead and mentor estimating staff on assigned bids.
• Review drawings/specs, attend pre-bid meetings, and determine scope and pricing.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities and supplier quotes.
• Coordinate with project teams for a smooth turnover and project handoff.
• Maintain estimating documentation and Rosendin estimating program.
