Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid and submittal efforts for electrical construction projects.

You will prepare estimates from take-offs, review specs and drawings, and coordinate with suppliers and project teams to ensure competitive, accurate pricing. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or related field and at least 4 years of estimating experience, with proficiency in Accubid, LiveCount Cloud, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating
• Estimate all types of projects and coordinate group work
• Mentor and assist with the development of Estimators
• Experience with Accubid, LiveCount Cloud and Bluebeam
• CAD or 3D software experience preferred
• Minimum 4 years estimating experience
• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete estimate to computer printout.
• Review drawings/specs and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work.
• Identify value engineering opportunities for cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub estimates for bids.
• Maintain working documents and data backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs.
• Prepare material/equipment listing and obtain supplier quotes.
• Review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
• Coordinate with Chief Estimator on scope, requirements, and pricing.
