Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid preparation and cost estimation for electrical construction projects. You will coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to generate competitive estimates from take-offs and reviews of specs and drawings.

Responsibilities include mentoring junior estimators, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with the Chief Estimator to finalize scope and pricing prior to bid packages. 10% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints or engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
• Estimate all project types and supervise group work to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and develop junior estimators.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete bid/submittal documents and cost estimates.
• Lead estimation efforts and collaborate with estimators, suppliers, and customers.
• Generate estimates from quantity take-offs and produce printouts.
• Identify key components for competitive estimates and assess VE opportunities.
• Review specs and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to define scope.
• Coordinate with Chief Estimator for scope and pricing before bids.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub-estimates.
• Maintain documents and data to support estimate figures.
