Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop electrical designs for energy, petrochemical, and industrial facilities and ensure compliance across the full project lifecycle. This role collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable electrical designs and supports field site assessments and RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required, preferablyTexas.
• Advanced experience with ETAP, SKM or equivalent software.
• Working knowledge of matrixed office tools and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical engineering analyses and system studies (arc flash, short circuit, etc.).
• Develop electrical designs (one-line diagrams, motor control, wiring diagrams).
• Size and specify power distribution and protection systems per project requirements.
• Support design activities including area classification, conduit design, and BESS integration.
• Coordinate deliverables and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
