NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team. This role focuses on designing and executing electrical systems for energy, petrochemical, and industrial facilities, with emphasis on compliance and constructibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in midstream energy, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, preferably in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical engineering analysis and system studies (arc flash, short circuit, relay coordination, motor starting, voltage drop, load flow).
• Develop electrical system designs (one-line diagrams, motor control schematics, conduit/cable schedules).
• Size and specify electrical power distribution, control equipment, and protection systems.
• Support design activities such as area classification studies, overhead distribution, conduit design, and BESS integration.
• Review PFDs, P&IDs, PPFDs to align electrical designs with facility requirements.
• QA/QC reviews of electrical drawings and calculations for compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate electrical deliverables with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Incorporate company standards, municipal requirements, and regulatory codes into designs.
• Review vendor drawings and submittals for compatibility with electrical design.
• Support project execution through field site assessments, RFI responses, and design basis documentation.
