Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer to join our Channelview, TX team.

This role combines hands-on mechanical and piping design with project leadership, supporting concept through startup and commissioning. The successful candidate will develop equipment specifications, review technical deliverables, and coordinate multidisciplinary workstreams while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Preferred, but not required: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical and piping design deliverables for energy facilities and project scopes.
• Define scope, schedule, and budget; coordinate procurement and vendor activities; act as a technical liaison across disciplines.
• Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and startup, including punch list resolution and as-built documentation.
