Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer SME to serve as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load while providing technical direction, independent review, client guidance, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE License required in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience, data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants and paralleling, UPS systems.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture and basis of design from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior leadership for MV/LV distribution and power equipment.
• Review load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash studies and related analyses.
• Govern design packages and provide independent project reviews.
• Support project delivery from design through commissioning.
