Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities.

You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, provide technical direction, client guidance, and mentorship, and lead design governance across global delivery teams.

Qualifications

• PE License required in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• Typically 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with data centers, mission-critical, or high-reliability facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture and major technical decisions from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, and UPS systems.
• Perform power studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) and verify designs across project teams.
