Job summary

Jacobs seeks an Electrical SME to lead power systems strategy for hyperscale data center programs in the United States. You will shape MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and switchgear design, from utility interconnection to IT equipment receptacle, with a focus on reliability and safety.

This senior role combines client-facing leadership, design-build delivery, and mentorship across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program; Master's preferred.
• Active Electrical PE licensure in at least one U.S. state; required for employment.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience; 15+ years in data center or mission-critical design.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients including MV/LV architecture and redundancy strategies.
• Perform power systems studies: short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow using ETAP/SKM/EasyPower.
• Provide governance of electrical deliverables across teams; support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
• Represent Jacobs in client workshops, industry forums, and proposal responses.
