Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking an Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join a large TMT practice. You will design electrical systems for data centers and mission-critical buildings, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, and other disciplines.

Primary responsibilities include leading electrical design, producing feasibility studies, construction documents, and responding to RFIs, with travel to HDR offices and sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).

Responsibilities

• Mentor and manage junior staff and coordinate multi-discipline team.
• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects.
• Prepare feasibility reports, construction documents, specs and calculations.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings, and perform construction administration.
• Attend design meetings and lead electrical discussions.
• Travel to job sites and HDR offices as needed.
