Job summary

HDR Engineering seeks an Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading TMT practice. You will design electrical systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities, coordinating with clients, managers, architects and other engineers to deliver complete construction documents.

Ability to mentor junior staff and lead design discussions is essential. You will work across multiple HDR locations, including Houston, and contribute to feasibility studies, technical calculations, shop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Electrical emphasis.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of junior staff.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Lead electrical design for data center/mission critical projects.
• Attend design meetings and lead electrical discussions.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, architects, and other disciplines.
• Support construction with field observations, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Travel to job sites or HDR offices as required.
