Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Design Engineering NA Team. You will lead electrical design efforts for large-scale data center projects, guiding teams from concept through commissioning while balancing CAPEX and OPEX to deliver best-in-class facilities.

Based in the United States with a flexible hybrid policy (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), you will collaborate with Sales, Procurement and Site Operations, set engineering standards and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering license in any U.S. state.
• 10+ years of design and construction experience; 15+ years preferred.
• Working knowledge of critical electrical and cooling infrastructure in data centers.
• Data Center design and/or construction experience.
• Familiarity with NEC, NERC, IEEE, NFPA and local codes.
• Experience with NA construction markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to conduct feasibility studies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborate with clients, project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for electrical design consultants and contractors, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Lead Electrical Design review efforts for deployment of new Data Centers, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Manage large and complex projects from conceptual design to commissioning.
• Collaborate with Sales, procurement, and Site Operations to balance cost and performance.
