Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and engineering across large-scale data center projects. You will drive innovation, balance CAPEX/OPEX, and ensure standards alignment while collaborating with construction, operations, and sales teams.

The role requires extensive experience in MV/LV systems, power distribution, and data center technology, with leadership responsibilities and a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in any U.S. state.
• 15+ years in data center design/construction preferred.
• Experience with NEC/NERC/IEEE/NFPA and local codes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design leadership for data center projects.
• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations and Management.
• Perform advanced analyses: short-circuit, arc flash, redundancy and ROI/IRR.
• Guide engineers and consultants; mentor junior staff.
