Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for large-scale data center projects across the United States. You will guide internal teams, review schematics, and balance CAPEX/OPEX to deliver reliable facilities.

The role requires deep expertise in MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transfer switches, and data center topologies. Travel up to 25% is expected; enjoy a hybrid work arrangement with collaboration across sales, procurement and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license in any US state.
• Strong background in data center electrical design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design reviews for new data centers and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage large, complex projects from conceptual design to commissioning.
• Provide leadership for consultants and contractors to meet milestones and budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement and operations.
• Develop and enforce engineering standards and processes for data center projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and support site operations with troubleshooting and optimization.
