Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for large-scale data center projects across the U.S. You will guide MV/LV systems, UPS, generators, transfer schemes, and ensure designs balance CAPEX and OPEX while meeting corporate standards.

You will partner with sales, procurement, site operations, and leadership to drive projects from land acquisition through hand-off, mentor engineers, and perform value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering license (PE) required.
• 10+ years in design/construction for data centers or equivalent.
• Familiarity with NEC, NERC, IEEE, NFPA and local codes.
• Data center design/construction experience required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Navisworks and SCCS modeling software environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for electrical design consultants and contractors, ensuring milestones are met within budget.
• Lead design reviews for deployment of new data centers; ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Develop and implement standards for data center electrical design and practices.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, site operations, and leadership to deliver projects from land acquisition to hand-off.
• Conduct value engineering analyses to optimize ROI and IRR; support commissioning and hand-off activities.
