Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical SME for hyperscale data center programs to lead MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and switchgear design. You will shape electrical infrastructure strategy, mentor engineers, and uphold NEC/NFPA compliance while guiding design-build delivery across global teams.

You will engage with clients, present technical solutions at workshops, and drive innovations in BESS integration and AI-ready power density.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• PE License active in at least one state; licensure needed for employment.
• Experience with data-center electrical design and critical power systems preferred.
• Proficient in power systems studies: short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients and MV/LV distribution architecture.
• Oversee power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generator paralleling, transfer switching, and busways.
• Develop Jacobs' electrical standards, specs, and calculation libraries for data centers.
• Govern electrical deliverables and support commissioning and IST for critical power systems.
