Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to provide engineering and operational oversight for DoD networks at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role includes architectural leadership across enterprise IT server, storage, and network infrastructures, with 24x7 NOSC duties and executive briefings.

Qualified candidates possess TS/SCI clearance, 8–12 years of experience (or 6–10 with MS), and DoD IT requirements, including ITIL/ITSM familiarity and SolarWinds proficiency.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field with 8–12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6–10 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering, network design, or IT operations management.
• Must possess DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher before start.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Consult with DTRA leadership and mission partners to determine system specifications and roadmaps.
• Document, test, and modify network and server configurations to align with DoD security baselines.
• Serve as NOSC watch officer and lead diagnostic strategy for outages.
• Evaluate third-party vendor solutions and manage configurations in ServiceNow ITSM.
