Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to provide advanced engineering, strategic systems analysis, and operational oversight for large-scale DoD IT services at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role requires leading NOSC operations across unclassified, secret, and TS/SCI networks.

The engineer will advise Mission Partners and DISA, develop architecture roadmaps, and ensure secure, resilient access while coordinating with partners and leadership. Active cleavage level required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering field with 4–8 years of experience (Master's with 2–6 years acceptable).
• Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, virtualization, and storage networks.
• Proficiency in enterprise monitoring suites (SolarWinds), AD architecture, and ITSM frameworks.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or higher required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems analysis, architectural engineering, and operational leadership for large-scale DoD IT services.
• Document, test, and modify network/server configurations to align with DoD directives and security baselines.
• Serve as the NOSC watch officer and escalation authority for multi-system outages.
• Interface with Mission Partners and DISA to advise on operational impacts and present AARs to senior leadership.
