Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expat role in Japan. You will direct sales to US DoD accounts, identify customer needs, and coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver solutions.

The ideal candidate has RF and public safety domain experience, a proven record of closing major sales, and US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance. The role requires relocation for 3+ years and substantial travel (50–75%).

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• Technical background including RF communications and First Responder software platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video).
• Experience selling into DoD/Federal Law Enforcement Agencies or similar environments.
• Excellent communication, sales and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to US DoD accounts in the Eastern US region.
• Identify customer needs and map Motorola portfolio to satisfy them.
• Build relationships and understand the Motorola business model with customers.
• Become a trusted adviser using vision, strategy and available tools.
• Articulate account strategies for Motorola solutions.
• Develop strong customer relationships across levels and functions.
• Coordinate with extended Motorola team to align on accounts.
• Allocate resources with internal and external partners to meet key accounts.
