Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expatriate role located in Japan, with relocation for a minimum of 3 years. This position focuses on direct sales to U.S. Federal DoD accounts, requiring travel and a strong technical background in RF and public safety software.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in sales or 8+ years in related fields, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in sales, customer success, public safety or military experience.
• Experience in DoD or Federal agencies and strong communication and writing skills.
• Technical background in RF and public safety software is highly desired.
• Experience selling into government or defense services is a plus.
• Proven ability to close major sales and develop go-to-market strategies.
• Familiarity with IP networking and cybersecurity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. DoD accounts in the Eastern US.
• Identify customer needs and map Motorola Solutions portfolio accordingly.
• Build relationships and understand the company model to be a trusted adviser.
• Articulate account strategies for Motorola solutions with stakeholders.
• Develop and nurture relationships across multiple levels and functions.
• Coordinate extended Motorola team to meet account objectives.
• Allocate resources and secure collaboration from internal and external partners.
