Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned sales professional for an expat assignment in Japan, focused on direct sales to U.S. Federal DoD accounts.

The role requires relocation for a minimum of 3 years and involves building relationships, understanding customer needs, and leading cross-functional teams to pursue key opportunities. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in sales/public safety/military, a technical background in RF and first responder software, and a proven track record of closing major

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• Technical background including RF communications and First Responder software platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired.
• Experience selling to DoD or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies is preferred.
• Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills are required.
• Track record of closing major sales is expected.
• Understanding of the proposal process with proposal assembly experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of IP networking, information assurance and cyber security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DoD accounts in Eastern US region.
• Identify diverse customer needs and how our product portfolio can satisfy them.
• Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding Motorola Solutions’ business model.
• Become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners.
• Articulate account-specific strategies for Motorola solutions.
• Develop and enhance customer relationships across multiple levels and functions.
• Lead the extended Motorola team to align with account strategy and opportunities.
• Allocate resources and secure collaboration of internal product groups and external partners.
