Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expatriate assignment located in Japan. The role focuses on direct sales of mission-critical communications to U.S. federal DoD accounts in the Eastern U.S.

and requires relocation for a minimum of 3 years. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in sales or 8+ years total in related fields, a technical background (RF, CAD/RMS/E911/Video), and a proven closing track record. Travel will be 50–75% and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience or 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• Technical background including RF communications or First Responder software (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) is strongly desired.
• Experience selling into DoD/Federal Law Enforcement.
• Proven track record of closing major sales.
• Understanding of proposals and proposal assembly.
• Familiarity with IP networking, Information Assurance or Cyber Security a plus.
• Ability to work from a remote office.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. DoD accounts in Eastern US.
• Identify customer needs and map to Motorola Solutions portfolio.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand the business model.
• Act as trusted adviser to customer and partners.
• Develop and articulate account strategies for Motorola solutions.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet key account needs.
