Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an experienced sales professional for an expat role in Japan, selling mission-critical communications to U.S. DoD accounts. The position requires relocation for 3+ years and heavy travel (50–75%).

You will build executive-level relationships, tailor solutions, and coordinate cross-functional teams to win and grow major accounts. The candidate should have 4+ years in sales or 8+ years in related roles, with strong communication and a track record of closing large deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience
• Technical background including RF communications and First Responder software platforms is strongly desired
• Experience selling into or working for DoD Services or Federal Agencies
• Excellent communication, sales and writing skills are required
• Proven track record of closing major sales
• Familiarity with proposal process and SFDC/CRM tooling
• Knowledge of IP networking, information assurance or cybersecurity is a plus
• Self-motivated problem solver with ability to work remotely
• U.S. citizen able to obtain security clearance as required

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DoD accounts in Eastern US region
• Identify customer needs and apply product portfolio to satisfy them
• Build relationships and understand Motorola Solutions business model
• Act as trusted adviser to customer and partners
• Articulate account-specific strategies for Motorola solutions
• Develop and enhance relationships across levels and functions
• Orchestrate extended Motorola team to align with account strategy
• Allocate resources and secure collaboration of internal and external teams
