Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expatriate role in Japan, supporting U.S. DoD accounts in the Eastern US region before relocation.

The position requires a minimum 3-year relocation and offers substantial on-target earnings aligned with performance and government contracting norms. Candidates should have 4+ years of related experience or 8+ years if no bachelor’s degree, plus a technical background in RF and public safety software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• Technical background to include RF communications and First Responder software platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired.
• Prior experience selling into or working for DoD/Federal agencies.
• Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills are required.
• Must have a demonstrated track record of closing major sales.
• Understanding of the proposal process with proposal assembly experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, information assurance or cyber security a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DoD accounts in Eastern US region.
• Identifies diverse customer needs and how our product portfolio can satisfy them.
• Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model.
• Become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners.
• Develop and articulate account-specific strategies for Motorola solutions.
