Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a document control specialist in Houston to manage electronic project files, convert documents between software, print, scan, and distribute materials under supervision.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to organize large volumes of records in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of engineering standards and collaboration tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced coursework preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in document control and administration.
• Knowledge of company standards and engineering document control standards.
• Familiarity with construction plans, diagrams, and large-scale scanner/plotter operation.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Document management of electronic files for projects and personnel, including converting between software packages, printing, scanning, and copying.
• Assist in locating and researching files and records per requests from personnel or clients.
• Respond to client requests of all types and generate activity reports as required by project managers.
• Support project managers with administrative tasks to ensure smooth project execution.
• Utilize Newforma Project Center and other collaboration tools to organize and distribute documents.
