Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated, United States, seeks a Senior Account Manager, Distributors, US/CAN to drive growth across the Texture and Healthful Solutions portfolio by building strategic distributor partnerships and identifying new opportunities throughout the region.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders while accelerating adoption of Ingredion’s value-added ingredient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.
• Significant customer-facing experience in business development, sales, marketing, technical service, or commercial roles within food ingredients or specialty ingredients.
• Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities from concept through commercialization.
• Working knowledge of food industry product development and commercial sales cycles.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50%, with proximity to a major airport preferred.
• A self-motivated and results-oriented professional with strong commercial and technical acumen.
• A proactive problem solver who anticipates customer needs and develops innovative solutions.
• Inclusive and respectful of diverse perspectives, fostering strong partnerships across teams.
• Committed to collective success and understanding how individual contributions support broader business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer contracting objectives and support the achievement of regional sales targets.
• Build and maintain a healthy project pipeline by identifying growth opportunities and new business aligned with the Texture and Healthful Solutions portfolio.
• Develop and nurture strategic relationships across multiple levels within distributor organizations and customer accounts.
• Facilitate technology-based discussions with customer R&D, innovation, technical, and marketing teams to establish new project opportunities.
• Analyze market trends, customer brands, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the food and beverage market, providing competitive and market intelligence to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service, Platform, and Marketing teams to execute strategic growth initiatives.
• Support commercial teams through a strong understanding of the Texture and Healthful Solutions portfolio and associated value propositions.
• Ensure alignment with platform teams regarding business plans, campaigns, and market development priorities.
