Job summary

Leidos in Allentown, PA is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to lead electric utility design engineering across projects. The role blends field and office work, with opportunities to engage directly with clients and leverage GIS tools for work package development.

Qualifications include 4+ years in utility design, ABET-accredited engineering degree, and an active PE license (PA). Occasional travel within Pennsylvania is expected as needed.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in electric utility design engineering or utility consulting.
ABET-accredited B.S. in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial).
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; Pennsylvania licensure or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and WMS systems (ArcGIS, Smallworld, Maximo).
Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
Perform planning tasks and customer follow-up.
Analyze scope and maintain adherence to client priorities.
Drive workflow improvements for quality and efficiency.
Coordinate with utilities and field/office teams for large, complex projects.
