Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in the Allentown, PA area who will design electric utility systems, coordinate with clients, and develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready projects. The position offers remote-working capabilities with an expectation of being within commuting distance of Eastern, PA for on-site support and occasional visits to customer

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in electric distribution design engineering.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer license required; must hold or be able to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for Leidos electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and WMS systems (ArcGIS, Infor, EAM, STORMS, Maximo).
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Perform planning, follow-up with customers, and data collection for package development.
• Coordinate with utilities and handle field and office requirements.
• Proactively improve workflows to enhance quality of client deliverables.
• Travel as needed within the customer territory and beyond for data collection and site visits.
