Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in the Allentown, PA area with a focus on electric utility design engineering. You will work directly with clients to ensure project quality, develop work packages, and manage scope and schedule.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of relevant experience, a PE license (PA), and proficiency with NESC and GIS/Work Management systems. Some travel to Pennsylvania sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of prior relevant experience in electric utility design engineering.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; PE licensure preferred or obtainable in PA.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; must obtain licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Experience with NESC and coordination of large design packages.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS/WMS systems (ArcGIS, Smallworld, Maximo).
• Manage scope, schedule and budget of assigned work.
• Coordinate field data collection and client follow-ups.
• Support coordination of utilities and permit/easement processes.
• Occasional local/regional travel for site visits and data gathering.
